ADA - Second-ranked Lincolnview came to Ada and used a 12-run fourth inning to beat the Bulldogs 23-1 in Northwest Conference baseball play on a cool Friday night.
The loss dropped Ada's record to 8-11 and 1-6 in NWC play. The league-leading Lancers improved to 19-2 and 7-0 in the NWC with the lopsided win.
Lincolnview led just 3-1 after two innings. But the Lancers scored six in the third frame, then exploded for a dozen runs in the fourth to put the game away.
Lancer Jaden Youtsey smacked two doubles in the big fourth inning. His first drive bounced off the right-center field fence.

ADA - The Ada girls softball season came to a close with a 13-0 loss to visiting Lincolnview in Northwest Conference play on a chilly, overcast Friday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs finished 9-13 overall and 1-7 in the NWC with the defeat. The Lady Lancers improved to 15-6 overall and 4-3 in the NWC with the run-rule shortened, five-inning win.
"We have a young team with a lot of growing to do," said Ada first-year head coach Rebecca Dicke. "We have some talented players who will keep working hard in the off-season and get more experience as we continue to rebuild."

HARROD - The Ada track and field teams competed at the annual Northwest Conference championship meet hosted by Allen East this past Thursday and Saturday.
The Lady Bulldogs came in seventh out of nine teams, while the Bulldog boys finished eighth.
Columbus Grove swept both the boys and girls team titles.
Ada junior Nora Dellifield took second in the pole vault to post the top Lady Bulldog showing.
Bulldog senior Noah Mattson came in second in the shot put and was fifth in the discus tolead the Ada boys. Philip Gautier placed third in both the high jump and long jump. Michael Crouse came in fourth in the 400.

LIMA - The Ada tennis team competed exceptionally well at the Div. II UNOH sectionals in Lima Thursday and Saturday, with three Bulldogs making it to district play in singles by finishing in the final four.
Ada dominated the singles flight as the Bulldog trio comprised three of the four semifinalists. The threesome went 12-1 against non-Ada teammates as the program qualified three players to district singles for the first time ever in a single event.
As the top singles seed in the 33-player field, Bulldog senior Cade Mullins got a first round bye and then whipped Rylee Messenger of Kenton 6-0, 6-0 Thursday.
The Ohio Northern University Department of Athletics announced that it has entered into a five-year partnership with NIKE through BSN SPORTS.
The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2019, is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all NCAA Division I, Division II and Division II schools as well as NJCAA and NAIA schools.
The agreement includes numerous incentives in the form of discounts and rewards along with incentives for on-field achievements and additional marketing, branding and promotional opportunities.
Ohio Northern senior Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia Academy) has been named the male recipient of the Wilson/ITA Promoter of the Year award.

Christian and Anastasia Rentouli of Mississippi State will receive a paid summer internship in the Grassroots Marketing department at Wilson's global headquarters in Chicago, Ill., for winning the award.
