Junior quarterback Anthony McFadden has been tabbed the OAC Offensive Player of the Week.

McFadden racked up a career-high 373 yards through the air and accounted for five Polar Bear touchdowns in last Saturday's 49-46 victory over OAC foe Capital in Columbus. The junior completed 24-of-34 passing attempts and toss four touchdowns in the weekend shootout. His remaining touchdown was scored on the ground as the third-year signal caller registered a one-yard rushing touchdown to give Northern a 49-39 lead late in the fourth quarter.

Junior goalkeeper Meagan Grierson has claimed her third Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award this season.

In a pair of 1-0 victories over Heidelberg and Capital last week, the junior netminder registered two clean sheets and six total saves while playing all 180 minutes in net. All six saves would come in Saturday's triumph over the Crusaders after she would go uncontested in Wednesday evening's win.

Freshman middle hitter Madi Ellis (Delphos/St. John's) has been awarded OAC Player of the Week honors.

Last week, Ellis paced the Polar Bear offense with 24 kills (3.43 kills per set), five blocks, and an impressive .524 hitting percentage in 3-2 and 3-0 victories over Heidelberg and Capital, respectively. In seven sets, the freshman would also register 42 total attacks with just two errors.

Ohio Northern is slated to return to action Tuesday evening, October 23 as they travel to Otterbein for a pivotal OAC clash.
