The Ohio Northern University women's golf team will open its 2017 fall schedule by hosting the ONU Classic Sept. 2-3 at Colonial Golfers Club under fifth-year head coach Chad Bucci.
The Polar Bears will also play in tournaments at Ohio Wesleyan, Heidelberg and Wittenberg in the fall season for a total of eight rounds of competition.

COLUMBUS GROVE - Crestview won a three-team golf match of Northwest Conference foes to tee off the 2017 season Monday.
The Knights finished first wth 188 strokes, followed by Columbus Grove (206) and Ada (262).
Ada was led by freshman Brevin Sizemore, who shot a nine-hole score of 62. Juniors Austin Amburgey and Rob Allison each carded a total of 66. Junior Jake Colwell contributed a score of 68.
The Ohio Northern women's soccer program recently returned from a preseason trip to Europe in preparation for the upcoming 2017 season.
The 11-day trip featured sightseeing in four different countries, providing both an educational and competitive experience for the team.
After arriving in Europe on the second day of the trip, Northern visited Mozart's birthplace before touring Saltzburg, Austria and competing in its first contest of the trip.
ONU would wrap up the day with a contest against FC Bergheim, a top-division Austrian Club Team, where the Polar Bears dropped a hard-fought decision 2-0.
Lynn Kelly (Mason) has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete for the 2016-17 season.
Kelly, a nursing major, earned the honor for the second team in her career.
The junior is a 2-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree as well as a 2-time All-OAC honoree, earning both accolades most recently during the 2016-17 season.
Kelly posted a 5-2 record in singles play and was 8-3 for Northern in doubles play, playing primarily at No. 1 singles and doubles.
Northern posted seventh consecutive winning season as it went 22-5 in 2016-17 under 16th-year head coach Scott Wills.
Summer conditioning programs and 10 days of coaching will conclude this weekend as the first official day of practice for OHSAA fall sports arrives next week. Football practice begins Monday, while all other fall sports may begin practice on Tuesday.
