The Ohio Northern women's basketball team moved up six spots to No. 16 in the fifth weekly D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.
Thomas More (Ky.) continues to hold the No. 1 spot receiving all 25 first place votes and 625 points, followed by Amherst (Mass.) in second with 593 points and George Fox (Ore.) in third with 571 points.
Ohio Ahtletic Conference foe Capital also broke into the top 25, landing at No. 23 with 100 points.
Northern returns to action Wednesday evening as they welcome Wilmington to the ONU Sports Center, tip off set for 7:30 pm.

Ohio Northern University, the No. 21 ranked women's basketball team in Division III, defeated Marietta 92-49 Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center to improve its win streak to nine.
ONU improved to 11-2 overall, 6-0 Ohio Athletic Conference, while Marietta fell to 9-4, 3-3.
Northern was led in the contest by seniors Karissa Steffas and Brooke Espenschied. Steffas recorded a game-high 16 points and eight rebounds, while Espenschied scored eight points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
Senior Carly Thomas and sophomore Amy Bullimore also scored in double figures, chipping in 10 points a piece.
In late December the Buffalo Bills of the American Football Conference signed Ada’s Zac Dysert to its practice squad.

Ada Soccer Association spring sign-ups take place in January. According to Jennifer Miller, sign-ups are in Fellowship Hall of the Ada Presbterian Church, 201 S. Main St.
She said, "If your child is a new player bring a certified copy of a birth certificate. These area available at county health departments.
Five dates are set for sign-ups. At that time all forms, birth certificates and payment is required.
The Ohio Northern football team finished the 2015 season ranked No. 19 in the final D3Football.com poll.
The Polar Bears (9-3 overall, 7-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 144 points in the voting after receiving 33 points in the 11th and final regular season poll.
Mount Union won the national title and was ranked first with 625 points and all 25 first place votes, national runner-up St. Thomas (Minn.) was second with 599 points and Linfield (Ore.) was third with 562 points.
The Polar Bears have now been mentioned in the D3football.com poll in 14 of the last 17 years.
