Our wrestling team will host the 35th annual ONU Invitational on Saturday. It is a 15-team, double elimination tournament starting at 9 am and should be done by early evening.

Also, our basketball teams will begin OAC play on Wednesday against Otterbein (women will be home, men away)

Northern saw its playoff run come to an end with a 42-7 loss at No. 3-ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs on a sunny but chilly Saturday afternoon at Titan Stadium.

The Polar Bears end their season with a 9-3 record.

The Titans improve to 11-1 and will advance to the Quarterfinals next Saturday against No. 5-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Sophomore Ricardo Johnson completed 10-of-20 passes for 71 yards and ran 21 times for 82 yards and senior Justin Magazine ran 20 times for 84 yards and a TD to lead the ONU offense.

ONU Polar Bears football team is on its way to Wisconsin.

UW-Oshkosh will host first-time opponent Ohio Northern University in the second round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship on Saturday (Nov. 28). Kickoff is set for noon (CST) at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

Many Ada High School athletes excel on the sports field and in the classroom.

Jim Raabe, Northwest Conference commissioner, has released the list of NWC scholar athletes for the fall season.

Scholar athletes are determined as follows:
•  Must be a letter winner in their sport.
•  Gold level -- GPA of 3.5 or higher during the season of their sport.
•  Silver level -- GPA of 3.0 to 3.49 during the season of their sport.

Ohio Northern rallied from a 16-0 halftime deficit to post a 27-22 victory at Franklin (Ind.) in the First Round of the NCAA III Football Playoffs on a wet and snowy Saturday afternoon at Faught Stadium.

The Polar Bears improve to 9-2 on the season and advance to the Second Round next Saturday, while the Grizzlies end their season with an 8-3 record.

Senior Justin Magazine ran 36 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns and sophomore Ricardo Johnson completed 13-of-17 passes for 190 yards and a TD to lead Ohio Northern.

Franklin was led by Chase Burton, who completed 21-of-44 passes for 290 yards and two TDs.

Bluffton Family Recreation offers two performance-training programs of eight sessions each in December lead by Jared Krout, BFR sports coordinator.

A Developmental Program, for youth ages 12 to 14, offers an introduction to performance training and adds a sport-specific component. Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Dec. 1 to Dec. 24.

A Prep Program, for youth ages 15 to 18, offers a high-performance training program covering all aspects of athletic performance. Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Dec. 1 to Dec. 24.
