Ada Presbyterian Church has announced a family outreach program, Playground Church with four dates in June and July. The events are rain or shine at Shelter House #1 in the Ada Park:
St. Mark Lutheran will be holding it's monthly Free Community Meal on Wednesday, February 22, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. (organizers note that's "whenever we run out of food.") at the church on the corner of Lincoln and Johnson in Ada.
The menu is fish, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, fruit and cookie. You may dine in, carry out or drive up for curbside service.
The meal is free and open to the public. The 7:00 p.m. Ash Wednesday service is also free and opened to the public.
Ash Wednesday will be observed on February 22 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera. The service, led by Pastor Matt Nowak, will be based on John 11 under the theme: "His final steps led to a tomb." The students of Trinity School will sing "Glory Be to Jesus." Hymns by the congregation include: "As Surely as I Live, God Said;" "Be Still, My Soul;" and "I Lay My Sins on Jesus."
County Line Church, 4227 N. Hardin Rd (County Line Road), has moved their VBS program to winter. A free Winter Bible School program will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting January 11 for six weeks (through February 15).
The program is free and open to children 3 years old through 5th grade.
