Janet Hubbell, a life-long Ada resident and very active in community events, is featured in Vancrest of Ada's Resident Spotlight. We've used some poetic license and summarized the story for Icon viewers:
Introducing Janet Hubbell who celebrates her birthday on Apri 10. She says that she's always been a big fan of summertime and her yearly vacations to Texas prove that.
Janet enjoys watching Animal Planet and viewing history books. When it comes to choosing what to eat you'll find her at the dessert table or in line to get something at Kewpee's.
Janet and her husband, Tom, were married for 50 years. Their three children are Barb, Michelle and Steve. Janet is an Ada High School graduate and also took courses at Ohio Northern.
She is a past editor of the Ada Herald. Her family claims her work at the Herald was her favorite job. You may not know it but he was an EMT and photographer.
Janet says she loves to keep busy and is always looking for a good laugh. She's also a bird watcher and loves gardening.
The spotlight article states that: "Janet is always a joy to have around and her personality just sparkles. She is quite the competitive balloon volleyball player.
"Janet is always interested in Bible study and when any kind of music is playing, you'll find here foot-tapping to the music."
