Ada's annual auction for Hospice
By Monty Siekerman
Community Health Professionals annual dinner and auction Thursday evening drew more than 100 people to a gala affair to support CHP the hospice program.
Several thousand dollars are raised annually for the Beacon of Hope, which provides care for patients and families. The lighthouse symbolizes each individual’s life and the hope that hospice brings.
Deb Curlis, CHP fundraising coordinator, gathers donations from businesses for months for a silent auction, live auction, and raffle.
Claudia Crawford, nursing supervisor, described what hospice is.
Reagan Cox provided the entertainment. Family members of Betty Plummer and Virginia Gnieser were presented with lighthouses in remembrance of their loved ones. Greg Fox and Jeff Ruppright served as auctioneers.
This year marks the 20th year for CHP Home Care and Hospice of Ada, serving residents throughout Hardin County and surrounding area. It is a nonprofit agency that offers a complete range of home health, hospice, private duty, and in-home therapy services to all ages.
