Who is behind the whipped cream pie and why is "taking it on the chin"?
Eli Esguerra slams a pie in the face of Ben Thaxton, elementary principal, because the youngsters successfully went over their goal in collecting money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

58 elementary students who participated raised a whopping $5,677.50 for the Memphis hospital known for helping families struggling with childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Isabella Beechy raised the most: over $400. Five students were selected by drawing to "pie" the principal, who took it all in good stride because he was happy with the results.
The fundraiser is called a Math-A-Thon because the program improves children's math skills and teaches the importance of helping others.
