Today is the first day of fall and is also National Falls Prevention Awareness day. In recognition of this day, ONU's chapter of American Society of Consultant Pharmacists is holding a Falls Prevention Day walk on the ONU Tundra.
Pictured here holding a stability ball are (from left) Hailey Martin, Marykate Munz, and Amy Bullimore, all exercise physiology majors.
Various pharmacy organizations set up tables and had information available to keep in shape.
The ONU Healthwise Mobile Clinic was also on hand. Students, faculty, and townspeople (including some Vancrest residents) walked the Tundra on a hot morning. At the end of the day, the number of miles walked will be recorded and added to a national total for all schools participating in the day.
The purpose of the day is to stay healthy and fix and avoid falling.
