If you think social media is only for 20somethings, you are dead wrong. If you think social media for business is a man-thing, wrong again.
About 50 women business leaders attended a seminar at the Dicke Building on Wednesday to hear a presentation on how to effectively use social media to expand their businesses.
Alisa Agozzino, an ONU associate professor of public relations, discussed how social media can further business at a meeting of L.E.A.D., which is sponsored by the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance.
Mrs. Agozzino graduated from ONU and went on to earn her master's and doctorate degrees from Bowling Green. She returned to her alma mater to teach in 2008.
Words like Hootsuite, crowdsource, platform, blogger, Snapchat, along with many other new vocabulary words, were explained.
She said that the end result of efforts in social media is to communicate with prospective customers and communicate with employees.
