Jamie Hall wrapped up his “third career” working as the Village Administrator for Ada on Friday, June 22. If you can’t imagine Hall letting grass grow under his feet in retirement, you’re right. He is already talking about a fourth career driving school buses.

Q. What are you most excited about in your new Village Administrator role?

A. Getting to know Ada! It has been such a welcoming community and I am looking forward to meeting the residents and finding all of the treasures Ada has to offer.

Q. Who or what had the biggest impact on your life growing up?

A. Watching my parents work hard and strive to provide the best opportunities for me has always left an impact on me. They are a great representation of hard working, loving, humble people and I strive for that every day.

JUNE 5 MEDIA RELEASE__The Foss-Agin-Meyer Post of the American Legion in Ada is proud to announce this year’s delegates to Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State. They are Kaylie Klear, Slade Gossman and Jadon Holbrook.

Kaylie is the daughter of Nick and Rachel Klear. She attends Ada High School where she is active in band, Varsity Singers band and the quiz bowl team. She is also active with her church, Our Lady of Lourdes and is an Eagle Scout with her Scouting America troop in Marion.

Fifty new alumni of Ada High School were created on Sunday, May 25 in ceremonies at the Ada High School gymnasium. Traditions were honored by the wearing of periwinkle caps and gowns, music including Fanfare and Processional by Edward Elgar and the presentation of diplomas to each student.

On May 27, the Ada Schools announced the following honor roll for the Elementary, Junior High and High School for the 4th quarter of the 2024-2025 school year.

Honor Roll is a designation for grades 4-12 and indicates which students received all A's and all A's and B's. Dean's List is a designation for grades 7-12. The criteria for Dean's List is a GPA of at least 3.2.

MAY 23 MEDIA RELEASE__Ada Rotary President-Elect Denise D'Arca presents $1,000 scholarship awards to Ada High School seniors Aubrey Pope (left) and Karley Wagner (right) at a recent meeting. 

Pope will attend Ohio University, majoring in applied nutrition and anthropology, and hopes to become a certified dietician/nutritionist. 

Wagner is headed for Bowling Green State University, where she will begin her journey toward becoming a physician's assistant.
