The Village of Ada Council met on Tuesday, June 17, beginning just slightly after the appointed time. The few moments before Mayor Dave Retterer opened the meeting with his gavel were like a baseball rain delay on radio. The conversation turned to candy sold at the Village pool and gasoline station sushi.
OPEN FLOOR TO PUBLIC
N. Gilbert St. resident Pam Tenwalde returned to council for an update on the status of on-street parking near the EMS garage that was completed earlier this year. There will be a Public Hearing following the June 1 council meeting to discuss the impact of reduced on-street parking near the garage and the application of Ohio Revised Code regulations.

MEDIA RELEASE__The Ada Schools will hold a Special Board Of Education Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in the district boardroom for the purpose of holding an executive session on employment-related matters.
Board Members are Troy Erickson, President, Matt Gossman, Ted Griffith, Justin Hollon and Ronald Fleming.

The Park District Liberty Twp Hardin Co Ohio met on the above date in the park office. Present were Bob Szuch, Fred Reichert, Neal Dumbaugh, Ken Wolke Park Manager and Mary Jane Lee, clerk. Guest present were the Architect from Ottawa Oh who is working on the Shelter house and concession stand drawings. Also present were representatives of the Pony Pals horse club. They are going to have several events at the park and had some questions. Ada Athletic Booster officers were present to have the architect design how they wanted the layout of the inside of the concession stand to be. [Ada High School Principal] Dan Lee was also present.
The Village of Ada Council met on June 3 with several visitors in attendance. Mayor Dave Retterer presided over the meeting which ran from 6:30-8:07 p.m. (The meeting packet from the Village website is HERE.)

Kara Brown of the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities told council that an adult-size changing table is available for installation in Ada. She asked council to help find a location. There is no cost associated with the table, unless you need to add electricity for its operation. The table needs to be attached to a permanent location.
