The Village of Ada has announced a public meeting on Tuesday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m. A Streets Committee meeting will be held in Council Chambers to discuss Gilbert Street parking.

Ada council met on August 5 on the second floor of the Ada Municipal Building, 114 W. Buckeye, with live viewing available online via Zoom. (Next meeting link) The meeting was conducted by Mayor David Retterer. Opening businesses included the paying of bills listed in the meeting packet.
NEW BUSINESS
With Streets committee chair Linda Mason and Village Administrator Amanda Sears absent, Jeff Oestreich presented information from a recent memo from Sears that provides new ideas to address the issue of on-street parking near the N. Gilbert St. ambulance bay. There is not enough room for ambulances to back into the garage when cars are parked opposite the building.
JULY 21 RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS__The Liberty Township Trustees met in regular session on July 21, 2025. Present: Jeff Acheson, Brad Hays, Jason Weihrauch, Fish White, Gary Hall, Jay Epley and Patty Griffin.
A motion by Jeff Acheson with a second by Brad Hays to approve the minutes of the meeting held on July 7, 2025. All voted yes.
Patty – Working on the cemetery grant. available up to $2,500. Also gathering the information for the gas rebate.
Jay – Trying to get the new compressor to work correctly.
The Ada Schools Board of Education has announced a special board meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. An executive session will be held for the purpose of discussion employment, promotion and compensation of an employee or official.
JULY 24 MEDIA RELEASE__The Park District Liberty Twp Hardin Co Ohio met on the above date in the park office. Present were Bob Szuch, Fred Reichert, Neal Dumbaugh, Ken Wolke Park Manager and Mary Jane Lee Clerk.
Ada Community Improvement Corporation members have elected Amanda Sears, Ada Village Administrator, to the position of President of the board. Amanda will also be the Chair for Industrial and Executive Board Committees.
