The Inn at ONU going around the world

For its Jan. 31 wine sampling event

The Inn at ONU will hold its popular Around the World wine sampling event next week.

The sampling is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at The Inn on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The event will allow guests to sample wines before purchasing bottles of wine at this special wine tasting in Ohio.

The ticket price is $30 per person and is inclusive of tax and service fee. The ticket price includes five 2-ounce samples and a selection of appetizers.

There will be a total of eight wines at the event. Each wine is unique to the Inn and will not be available at local grocery markets.

Dinner theatre tickets on sale for March 10 event

The Centre at Bluffton presents "Revenge of Frankenstein"

The Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St., presents “Revenge of Frankenstein,” in a dinner theatre format Saturday, March 10.

Dinner details
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres begin at 6 p.m. and the dinner and show begins at 7 p.m. The dinner menu includes apple bourbon chicken breast, rosemary pork loin, stuffed shells with marinara; garlic-herb mashed redskins, home-style green beans and for dessert assorted cheesecakes.

Tickets include non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar is also available.

Country-style breakfast on Saturday

Offered by the Alger Memorial Festival Committee

The Alger Memorial Festival Committee is sponsoring a Country-style breakfast on Saturday, February 3, 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. 

Serving biscuits, sausage gravy, hash-browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and beverage.

Suggested donation is $7.00. All-you-can-eat (on premises only). Carry out is available,

Ada Scouts to celebrate with dinner

The Ada Boy Scout Troop will celebrate its centennial with a homecoming dinner at Camp Berry near Findlay on Saturday, April 14. Members of the troop, past and present, may make reservations by email at [email protected].

Music Boosters sponsor bingo

The Ada Music Boosters sponsor weekly bingo at Center on Central, 111 Central Ave., on Thursdays. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Play begins at 6:55 p.m. Ada Bingo uses new, radio-controlled electronic machines, as well as paper packages.

Dinner is available before play begins. The food is provided by Booster parents and varies from hot dogs to spaghetti, soup, sandwiches, casseroles, desserts, drinks and more.

MLK event planned in Kenton for Monday

The pastor of Payne Chapel AME Church, its members, and community activists, and clergy from the Kenton area are putting the final touches on this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. celebration in Kenton.

The day will begin with a community program at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. John’s Church, 211 E. Carrol St. in Kenton.

Representatives from political, religious, and ethnic organizations will discuss Dr. King’s motivation to empower the people to make their voices heard.

The program will conclude with a unity march that will begin and end at St. John’s Church. The march will be followed by a free meal which will allow participants to reflect on the day.
