45 youth audition for Holiday Spectacular

Forty-five youngsters from Ada and surrounding communities audition for the ONU Holiday Spectacular on Sunday afternoon at the Freed Center. Now, it’s time for the directors to choose who will get the children parts in the annual and popular holiday show. This year's Harvest and Herb Festival queen candidates

This year’s Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Harvest and Herb queen’s court was announced today by Arlene Allison, chair of the committee.

Four Ada High School girls are candidates. They are: (from left to right in the photograph):
• Senior Anabel Alexander, daughter of Robert and Shelleigh Alexander
• Senior Audrey Hazelton, daughter of Travis and Rebecca Hazelton
• Senior Allison Dotson, daughter of Carrie Dotson and Tom Dotson
• Senior Kama Arn, daughter of Scott and Corsi Arn

Ada sophomore Sidney Gossard won 4th place of the Showman of Showmen at the Hardin County Fair.

Bulldogs run at Spencerville

SPENCERVILLE - The Ada boys cross country team finished a solid 10th out of 16 teams in the small school division at the Spencerville Invitational on a wet Saturday morning.

The Bulldogs finished ahead of all the other Northwest Conference schools in both divisions. Ada senior Miguel Jordan claimed a ninth-place finish, passing three people in the last 200 yards to post the best purple and gold individual showing.

Jordan covered the wet 3.1-mile course in 19:05.6.

"It was a wet meet," said Ada head coach Josh Klein. "Everyone left covered in mud and feeling like they showered in their uniforms.

Students try hula hooping

Ada students tried hula hooping during a pep rally at the school on Friday, but despite their efforts the Bulldogs lost at Lima Central Catholic on Saturday. The score: LCC 43, Ada 20.
