Late McComb rally dooms 'Dogs

By Cort Reynolds

ADA - Visiting McComb forged a 12-0 fourth quarter flurry to upend Ada 49-43 in non-league boys basketball action Saturday night.

The difficult defeat dropped the Bulldog record to 4-15, while the Panthers improved to 3-13 with the victory.

"We had 18 turnovers and shot 29 percent from the foul line, you're not going to beat anyone that way," said Ada first-year head coach Dre White.

"You have to give McComb credit. They came out and played harder, they knew this was one they could possibly get. They came out and proved it."

ONU World Student Organization says "Be Mine" in many languages

There's an Asian Valentine tradition spread over three months

By Monty Siekerman
The ONU World Student Organization held a Valentine's party on campus Saturday, and members found out that the Asians do it up big time. Asians mark Feb. 14, March 14, and April 14 as Valentines.

On Feb. 14, the girls give roses or chocolate to the guys as a sign of affection. The next month, known as White Day, the guys return the favor.

Finally, in mid April the singles who received no gifts the prior two months gather together on what is known as Black Day and eat a dish called black noodles.
