Linda Dearth special meal tonight from 4-6 p.m

ReStore Community Center, 210 N. Main St., Ada, will host a special meal to benefit Linda Dearth, store manager.

The meal is Crock pot Tuesday, Feb. 21, with serving from 4 to 6 p.m. Persons with questions may call ReStore.

Discrimination, bias topic of Feb. 28 meeting

"Discrimination and implicit bias: An exploration of unconscious bias and remedies provided by the law” will be the topic of a forum at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the law college. The program is free and open to the public.

This presentation will detail the current body of law in the state of Ohio regarding sexual harassment, gender stereotyping, gender identity and retaliation. It will cover legal remedies and tools that are available for groups and individuals who are and have been systematically subjected to discrimination. The program will feature two speakers.

Sheriff's Office investigating one-vehicle crash on SR 81

East of Ada at 6:50 p.m. last evening

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred on State Route 81 east of Ada at 6:50 p.m. on Feb. 20.

The owner of the vehicle, Jackie Benton of Dunkirk, reported the vehicle stolen approximately 15 minutes before the crash at the intersection of State Route 309 and State Roue 195.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office: The driver/suspect then crashed the vehicle on State Route 81 near the intersection of  Township Road 55 east of Ada.

The investigation continues into the driver/suspect, Jeffrey Staver of Lima, and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Ada Library Board of Trustees Welcomes Newest Member

The Board of Trustees of the Ada Public Library would like to welcome Meri Skilliter as their newest member. Skilliter replaced Dr. Suzanne Darmer as Superintendent of Ada Exempted Village Schools, upon Darmer's retirement, and thus takes her spot on the Ada Public Library Board of Trustees.

The Ada Public Library Board of Trustees meetings are open to the public, taking place at 9a.m., the 3rd Monday of the month, unless otherwise indicated.
