Please enjoy the photos of spring in Ada - attachment at bottom of story -

The Village of Ada is know for the flowering pear trees that line Main Street each April, but the residential sections of town are decked in beauty as well.

Pears, flowering crab apples are out in full bloom. Recent cold weather didn’t affect them, however the bright yellow forsythia were “scorched” this year.

Redbud trees and japonica are just now starting to show their colors, soon other shrubs and trees will add their touch of beauty to the landscape.

According to Police Chief Michael Harnishfeger, he credits the entire Ada community for being civic minded and engaged for a safer community as a major component in this distinction.

The weather for the first part of the year has been mild to say the least with average temperatures running well above normal. The very mild February continued into March and similar trends are expected for the next several months when addressing temperatures.

While most enjoy the warmer than normal temperatures for the winter and spring, if the trend continues into the summer months as the models are leaning we may change our opinion.
