Virginia M. “Ginny” Fleece, age 93, died on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 9:28 a.m. at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on May 30, 1924 in Hardin County, Ohio to the late Carl and Leota (Austin) Ford. On January 13, 1946 Virginia married Albert Eugene Fleece and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2002.
Ginny retired from Elevator’s Mutual Insurance of Lima where she worked as a secretary. She also raised chickens and sold the eggs commercially. Ginny was a member of the Roundhead United Methodist Church and its women’s group. She was a member of the Grange. She enjoyed knitting hats and then donating them.

148 doctor of pharmacy grads and 388 undergrads participate in commencement

They came from near and far to see their relatives or friends graduate from Ohio Northern on Sunday.
The university awarded 148 doctor of pharmacy degrees at commencement in the morning and another 388 students were recognized in the afternoon during a ceremony for students receiving undergraduate and master of science in accounting degrees. Receptions were held on campus following the two commencements in the Field House.
But the ceremonies aren’t over. Eighty-seven law students will receive their juris doctor degrees at commencement at 2 p.m. next Sunday May 20, in the Field House.
