Baseball splits double header

The Ohio Northern baseball team used a 7-run fourth inning scoring outburst in the second game of a double header with Muskingum as Northern fell 5-2 in game one before defeating the Muskies 12-1 in the nightcap of a double header at Wander Field.

The Polar Bears move to 13-14 overall and 4-6 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies move to 12-14, 5-5.

Molinaro finishes strong in national meet

Torrence, Cal.--Junior Matt Molinaro (Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) posted a strong performance in the 800-meter run at the Mt. Sac Relays on Friday afternoon in Torrance, Cal.

The junior finished fourth overall in the event, and tied his own mark for the fastest time nationally among Div. III athletes.

Molinaro finished the event in 1:49.30 and was within one second of the first place runner

Richards has fastest time in Div. III history!

TORRANCE, Cal. — Ohio Northern junior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) posted a historical time as she competed in the Mt. Sac Relays in Torrance, Cal. on Friday afternoon.

The junior won the 800-meter run on her way to the fastest time in Div. III history, finishing the race in 2:02.34.

Richards previously held the third fastest time in Div. III history in the event.

Her time also breaks the ONU school record in the event and leads the nation among Div. III athletes by more than six seconds.

Easter arrives on an weekend in full bloom

Ada 3rd, 4th and 5th grade art on display at Mazza Museum

Art based on Ashley Bryan, artist and illustrator

Ada elementary artists have their work on display at the Mazza Museum, University of Findlay, this spring, according to Kristi Steiner, elementary art teacher.

She explains how the student work was selected:

"In January I had grades 3, 4 and 5 make projects based off the artist and illustrator Ashley Bryan. From there I picked 24 pieces to take to the Mazza Museum in Findlay.  They will be on display from March 13 to May 5." 

Ada congregations celebrate Easter

Plus Easter egg hunts planned

Ada church plans for Easter weekend include:

•Ada Full Gospel Church will have an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

• St. Mark's Lutheran Church will have an Easter egg hunt for the community from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

• Grace Gospel Church will have a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. There will be a sunrise service at 8:30 a.m., a breakfast at 9 a.m., and a worship service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
