F&M looks for help after 2 leaders retire

Longtime leaders of the Farmers and Merchants picnic board have decided to retire from the organization, and the board is looking for new members to assist in organizing the annual community event.

Bernie Mackey, president, and Brenda Mackey, treasurer, have decided to step down after many years of dedicated service. Yvonne Bonham will continue as secretary.

The picnic, now in its 104th year, is one of the longest running festivals in Ohio. It's traditionally held the second Saturday of August.

Those interested in serving the community by being on the board may call the War Memorial Park office at 419-634-0074.
