The Ohio Northern women's tennis team swept Baldwin Wallace 9-0 in an Ohio Athletic Conference match on Tuesday afternoon in Berea.

The Polar Bears improve to 14-4 overall and stay atop the OAC standings with a 4-0 record, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 7-7, 1-2.

Northern got off to a quick start by sweeping the doubles matches.

Ohio Northern got a slew of outstanding pitching performances in a 4-3, 2-0 baseball sweep Baldwin Wallace on a chilly Tuesday afternoon at Wander Field.

The Polar Bears improve to 18-6 overall and are 6-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference after extending their winning streak to seven games.

The Yellow Jackets fall to 17-9, 3-5.

Junior Luke Klinehoffer (Zanesville/John Glenn) picked up his 100th career base hit and freshman Scott Beaton (Novi, Mich.) picked up a 4-inning save to lead ONU in the Game 1 win.

The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta sorority painted the giant boulder in front of McIntosh Center—known as Spirit Rock—in recognition of Autism Month. The pups in training to be service dogs say “Woof” to the idea of supporting, loving, and understanding those with autism. For the ninth time in her career, ONU senior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) has been named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III Women's Track National Athlete of the Week.

The senior also earned the honor for the second consecutive week and the fifth time this season.

Richards earned the honor after competing in the 800-meter run at the 39th Annual Sun Angel Classic hosted by Arizona State this past weekend.

In preparation of a grand re-opening on April 28

Finishing touches—including installation of landscaping—are underway to complete a major addition and remodeling of the library which will have a grand reopening on Saturday, April 28.

celebration of the completion of the project will begin at 10:30 a.m. with remarks by Director Rhett Grant. Tater the Clown will be there to entertain children.

Refreshments will be served. The grand reopening will continue until 1:30 p.m. The library celebrated its centennial last year.

His talk: “The current state of Afghan-U.S. relations”

Hamdullah Mohib, Ph.D., Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United States, will speak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 at the law college. His talk, “The current state of Afghan-U.S. relations,” is free and open to the public.

Ohio Northern University’s LLM in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law program has graduated more than 20 Afghan lawyers over the past six years and will award the LLM to 10 more at its commencement in May. The ambassador will meet with the Afghan students during his visit to campus.
