Line up for voting

A line forms at the Liberty Township precinct at 9:30 a.m. on March 15 this as primary voters prepare to cast their ballots. Pool workers at the N Men's Association building and at Community Health Professionals, where the two Ada precincts vote, expected a larger than usual turnout for the primary. This year, the candidates for president are in a battle to win their party's nomination and Ohio could make a meaningful difference in who becomes the nominees. At 9:30 a.m., after being open for three hours, 93 people had cast ballots at the township polling place while 140 had voted at the two Ada village precincts.
There are three local candidates on the ballots, all unopposed. They are Dr. Larry Kuk, who has been the long-time county coroner; Don Traxler, a Democrat central committeeman for many years; and newcomer Mara Guyton, a candidate for Democrat central committee. Mara, 18, is a high school senior. (Monty Siekerman photo)
