300 gather for $30 million engineering building groundbreaking

Today (Friday) was a momentous day in the history of Ohio Northern when about 300 people gathered for a groundbreaking  ceremony at the site which will become a $30 million College of Engineering building located just east of pharmacy.

Jimmy Wilson's Ohio Northern University Historical Geography class assignment was: Create a short film about a part of local history, either on campus or in the community.

The resulting films focused on four areas (click on each bold face topic to access those videos):

• ONU sport history videos - 5 video - These videos all detail histories of ONU athletic programs and teams, from the emergence of women’s sports to the new soccer stadium.

FINDLAY - Visiting Ada scored first but lost 8-1 in a non-league girls
soccer match Wednesday evening at Liberty-Benton.

The defeat snapped a three-match Lady Bulldog win streak, dropping their
record to 5-10.

Katie Butterfield scored the Ada goal early on to put the Bulldogs ahead
1-0. But the Eagles responded with five first half goals to grab a 5-1
halftime lead.

L-B added three more scores after intermission to provide the final margin.

Ada keeper McKenzie Long stopped 37 shots in goal. L-B out-shot Ada, 48-20.

Community Health Professionals hosts a Bingo once a month. This month's game was called costume Bingo. Dressed appropriately for the occasion are Bonnie Wilson (left) and Donna Hattery. In the next photos are Tanya Reid, Alice Cheney and Jennifer Line with Don Traxler.
