Time to starting planning your Lincoln Highway BUY-WAY yard sale
It’s almost time again to sign up for the Lincoln Highway BUY-WAY Yard Sale.
This year the event runs from Thursday, Aug. 9 through Saturday, Aug. 11. Registration is free and easy and gets your yard sale advertised along with thousands along the historic Lincoln Highway that meanders through Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
Simply call the Ada water department at 419-634-4045 and mention your address and the days of your yard sale.
On the week of the sale, Lincoln Highway BUY-WAY Yard Sale volunteers from the Ada area will plant an official yard sale sign in your yard (which they will collect after your sale).
They will also give you a stack of maps showing all registered yard sales in the Ada area, including yours. The maps are for those who visit your sale and provide them with an easy-to-understand reference to all sales near Ada.
On the days of the event, volunteers will be stationed at the Ada Railroad Park with maps and information, pointing people to each yard sale, including yours. Last year we had nearly 70 yard sales participating locally, attracting people not only from this area but many who travel the Lincoln Highway every year during this event looking for bargains.
The deadline for registering is Wednesday, Aug. 1. For more information check out the Lincoln Highway BUY-WAY web site at http://historicbyway.com/ or call the Ada Water department.
Sponsored by the Ohio Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor, the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Ada Community Improvement Corporation.
