FROM ONU.EDU/NEWS__Hailey Robirds began interning at ONU’s HealthWise Pharmacy for the practical reason of gaining real-world experience. It didn’t take long, however, for her motivation to turn personal. Through serving friends and neighbors, Hailey discovered she thrives when helping others. “At the end of the day,” she explained, “my cup is full.”

A fourth-year pharmacy student and Ada native, Hailey joined HealthWise shortly after Ada’s Rite Aid closed. She became “part of the change the community needed,” providing personal care to locals who suddenly found themselves without a nearby pharmacy.

RIDGEWAY__The visiting Ada High School softball team dominated Hardin County rival Ridgemont 11-1 in a non-conference contest on an unseasonably warm Friday, April 17.

The Bulldogs broke the game open with five runs in the third inning and put it away with four more runs in the seventh.

The Gophers tallied their lone run in the bottom of the first to tie it 1-1. Ada went ahead with a run in the second, and then seized control with the big third frame to build a 7-1 margin.

Ada improved to 12-2 overall with the road win. The Bulldogs are 3-1 in away games and are 9-1 at home.

FROM FACEBOOK__Summer youth swim with the Ada Gators has announced sign ups and parent meetings on April 20 and April 29 at the Ada First United Methodist Church 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Ada Gators is open to grades K–12. Cost: $65 first swimmer, $60 each additional. The Ada Gators Swim Team season runs approximately 6 weeks (June–July) with daily weekday practices.

FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada High School Drama Club will present Clue, High School Edition on April 24-26. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

All tickets are $5 and available at the door only. Free admission for Ada Schools students.

Clue is based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin.
