Ghouls, goblins and witches hit the sidewalks of Ada!
The annual haunting of Ada’s sidewalks takes place next Thursday! On Oct. 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the children of Ada are invited to bring out their best costumes for the Village’s trick or treat.
Trick or treat is a fun filled evening for many in the community. Whether it’s the handing out of candy, the collection of candy, or just seeing the change in costumes from year to year, there is something for many to enjoy.
We want to encourage everyone to enjoy the festivities safely. Here are a few tips to remember:
Stay visible! Use glow light sticks or reflective tape to accent your ghoulish outfit. Walk with a parent or in groups. Stick to the sidewalks! Avoid walking in alleys and streets.
Plan a travel route in areas that you know. Don’t ever enter the home of a stranger! Trick or treat at the homes of people you and your parents know. Drivers Beware! Children should look both ways before crossing the street, but we all know they get a little sidetracked. If you are driving on trick or treat night, be extra vigilant when watching for pedestrians.
The candy – keep it safe! Don’t eat any candy that isn’t wrapped and sealed and wait until you get home to eat your candy. Have a responsible adult inspect your candy collection before you dig in.
As always, the Ada Police Department will be ready to help with any safety issues on Trick or Treat night. Stay safe and have fun!
