Concrete Streets Project Update – March 19, 2013
Monday afternoon, the Village met with representatives from JDR Excavating, Inc, to begin discussing the plans for the reconstruction work of the Concrete Streets (including Valerie Dr, Northern View, Southern View, Pleasant View, Clint Dr, Christopher Circle, Jocelyn Dr, and Brandi Place.)

Many aspects of the project will be dealt with on a weekly, and even daily, basis once construction is underway, but it is the hope of the Village that open lines of communication will aid in the progress of this project.

Letters have been mailed to the property owners directly impacted by the project, updating them on what they may need to do prior to the start of construction.

Work agreements will be mailed to the property owners this week; once signed by the property owners and returned to the Village, the agreements will allow the Village to work as the design was explained in the November 14, 2012 public meeting.

Property owners may continue to receive letters for substantial information related to the project.

Residents may also visit www.adaoh.org for construction updates. Residents may click on the “Projects” tab on the top banner of that page, and then click on “Concrete Streets 13”.

While some people may be interested in the daily work that will be performed, the intent of the updates will be to make residents aware of events that directly impact residents, such as road closures and mail delivery.

Construction on the Concrete Streets is expected to begin mid-April. An exact date is not available at this time, simply because of extenuating circumstances that directly affect construction work.

If Mother Nature decides it truly is time for spring before mid-April, as many of us may wish, work may commence earlier. If Old Man Winter decides he wants to join us for a little while longer, construction may be delayed. The start of construction is an item that one could expect to find on the construction updates on the website.
