The Biker Strong Association will help Azraella, a 15-month-old child who lives in Ada and is suffering from cancer, with a benefit on Saturday, May 19, at the Ada VFW. And, you don’t have to have a motorcycle to help.
Azraella, the daughter of Keara Downing, is suffering from ALL, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She has been treated in Toledo since her diagnosis last October. She is in the high risk group for this type of cancer.
She and her mother plan to attend the benefit, but that depends on the child’s condition in mid -May. In any case, a majority of her family will be on hand.
The Ohio Northern softball team will face Case Western Reserve in the first round of the St. Mary's Regional on Thursday in the NCAA III Softball Tournament.
Times for the four-team, double elimination Regional in South Bend, Ind., will be announced on Tuesday.
No. 10-ranked tournament host Saint Mary's (Ind.) will face Mount Aloysius (Pa.) in the other first round contest on Thursday.
