Cosi in Ada is OPEN although the company filed for bankruptcy in Boston on Wednesday.
The local restaurant is a franchise owned by Sodexo, not the University. Sodexo, a giant international company, provides the food and maintenance services to ONU.
Northern on Main closed in May. After remodeling and installing an oven to make their signature flat bread, the local restaurant reopened in August as Cosi.
The rise of popular fast casual chains like Panera Bread and Chipotle have created more competition for Cosi. Changing the management and menu did not help either, nor did over expanding.
ADA - The host Ada volleyball team avenged last fall's sectional loss by sweeping former league foe Lima Central Catholic Thursday evening.
The 25-19, 25-15, 25-a19 win improved the Lady Bulldog record to 13-6. It was their 10th win in 11 matches as Ada stayed unbeaten (6-0) at home.
Junior standout Melina Woods led Ada with 31 kills, 12 digs and six blocks.
"Kyli Lause came in and did an outstanding job," said Ada head coach Melissa Gossard. "She picked up some nice tips, had a couple nice sets and had some big blocks.
