Live from Ada, Ohio...Your Hometown Lima Stations broadcast the 6 o'clock TV news from Ada Railroad Depot Park on Friday.

Here, Mayor Dave Retterer tells of the benefits of the community during an interview with Ty Batemon, anchor. The Mayor described the success of business, industry, and the university, as well as community involvement, among other things.

The telecast also featured taped segments with Angela Polachek of the tree commission, Joseph Allen of the Wilson Football Museum, Dana Walters and Linda Dearth of ReStore Community Center, Deb Curlis of the Chamber, Catherine Cole of Cole Motors, and 102-year-old Aggie Crates who was hospitalized last night but was expected to be home soon.

Mackenzie Wills was interviewed for her tennis success in high school. It was reported that her athletic ability will continue to be seen in town when she goes from AHS Bulldog to ONU Polar Bear in the fall.

The TV organization has been traveling to towns throughout northwest Ohio for their Thursday 6 p.m. newscasts. Ada's was postponed until Friday's due to Thursday's storm. Van Wert and Celina are next on their schedule.

The Lima station is the only one in the country to have NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS all located in one building.

Five TV trucks and many technicians were on hand all afternoon to set up for the telecast, which featured news, sports, weather, and taped segments.

They were welcomed with cookies from McDonalds and Viva Maria Pizza given by Cole Motors.

The weather was perfect...and no trains came through during the live program. The telecast went off without a hitch...and Ada was shown in a positive light.
