Save it from the landfill
By Monty Siekerman
The ONU recycling effort is underway this week when residents of Ada can bring unused or broken electronic devices to Heterick Memorial Library on campus to be properly disposed of.
Devices can be brought to the library between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. through Friday.
Nearly all electronic devices are accepted, including computers, laptops, monitors, mice, keyboards, VCRs, DVD players, speakers, CDs, printers, DVDs, computer cables, cell phones, tablets, scanners, battery chargers.
Not accepted—light bulbs, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, large machinery, damaged batteries. A limited number of TVs will be accepted with a $25 charge.
The effort is sponsored by ONU Recycles whose members are doing their part to protect the environment by not having these items end up in a landfill.
