BEREA – The Ohio Northern wrestling team dropped a 33-6 dual meet at No. 9-ranked Baldwin Wallace on Fridaynight at Ursprung Gymnasium in a battle of Ohio Athletic Conference unbeatens.

The Polar Bears falls to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the OAC, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 20-3, 4-0.

Sophomore Gavin Nelson (Oregon/Clay) got ONU on the board with a 7-5 decision at 157 pounds.

Freshman Nate Barcaskey (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area)won 5-2 at heavyweight to wrap up the match.

The Polar Bears will stay in Berea overnight as several of the reserves and a few starters will compete in the Baldwin Wallace John Summa Invitational on Saturday.

Upper Scioto Valley 5th graders graduate the D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resittance Education) Program taught in local schools by the Hardin County Sheriff's office. 

D.A.R.E. curricula address drugs, violence, bullying, internet safety, and other high risk circumstances that today are too often a part of students’ lives.

We've had a busy day in the elementary! We celebrated 100's day and had a visit from Ronald McDonald who taught us how to cooperate with others and how to be a good friend!

That has a nice ring to it. And on Saturday, Ada celebrates with a Super Bowl Eve party, like none ever seen here.

Events include everything from a tailgate party, football coaches panel, free showing of "Friday Night Lights," a program looking at Super Bowl TV commercials, lots of games and Wilson NFL football raffles and concluding with a midnight football drop.
