School board hires 4 teachers for 2019-20
The follow report includes some action from the school’s June 27 Staff Notes, and is not officially approved board minutes.
Four teachers were hired for the 2019-20 school year during the June 27 Ada school board meeting.
One-year contracts were issued to:
Elaine Garber - American sign language
Camille Hesse - High school math
Tom Atkinson - Band director
Shelleigh Alexander - 6th grade
Salary adjustments were approved for three teachers:
Tracy Breidenbach: completed 17 semester hours above her master’s degree
Kyleigh Tabor: completed her master’s degree
Anna Yoakam: completed her master’s degree
The board accepted the resignation of Kelsie Weber, as sixth grade math teacher.
The board approved a list of certified substitutes and classified substitutes for the 2019-20 school year. Those lists are on the board staff notes attached at the bottom of this story.
Also approved was a list of seven education aides for next school year. Each has a one-year contract:
Mary Garver
Amy Stover
Valerie Hall
Amber Simon
Jean Stavenger
Paula Beverly
Collin Stephens
Several supplemental contracts, extended-service contracts and additional hours for next school year were issued and those are included in the attachment at the bottom of this story.
The board spent approximately 1 ½ hours in executive session and approximately 25 minutes in open session during the meeting.
