ONU men's lacrosse player receives national honor
Ohio Northern senior Cameron Marous (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was named a USILA/Warrior and New Balance Scholar All-American in men's lacrosse for 2020 by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Marous is just the second ONU player to be named Scholar All-America by the USILA after Jackson Pfister earned the honor last year.
He is also a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree and was named Third Team Academic All-America by the College Sports Information Directors of America in 2019.
Marous Is a 3-time 2nd Team All-Conference honoree as an attacker and was the OAC Freshman of the Year in 2017.
He holds school records in goals with 118, assists with 86, points with 204 career points and hat tricks with 21.
The Polar Bears were 4-2 in 2020 under fifth-year head coach Nat St. Laurent before the season was canceled March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
