Renovation of the Ada Municipal Building is on track except for the elevator - you can see the incompleted elevator and shaft here. Flooring projects on each of the building's levels can't proceed until the elevator is installed, which is now estimated for sometime in November.

The follow report includes some action from the school’s October board meeting and is not officially approved board minutes.

Nearly 20 supplemental contracts involving winter and spring coaches were approved at the Ada school board Oct. 17 meeting. Those contacts follow:

Ada Boyz, LLC, interested in purchase property in Ada Industrial Park

Ada Community Improvement Corp (CIC), will hold a special meeting at noon,  Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the Depot, according to Eileen Peterman, CIC secretary.

The meeting is to "present a motion for CIC to enter into an agreement consistent with the general terms set forth in the real estate purchase agreement between Ada Boyz, LLC, and Ada Area Community Improvement Corporation."

The property is located at the Ada Industrial Park.

This meeting follows a special Ada council meeting held Thursday, which centered on the same subject.

DELPHOS - Three Ada boys were named to the All-Northwest Conference soccer first team as voted by the league coaches recently in Delphos.

Bulldog seniors Isaac Spar and Skylar Williams, as well as junior leading scorer Jacob Poling, were all named first team all-league.

Bulldog senior Nicholas Kamatali was voted second team all-league.

Ada senior Wyatt Rettig and freshman keeper Grant Preston wwere each named honorable mention All-NWC.

The Ohio Northern women's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule with a second place finish at the Lourdes Gray Wolf Invitational on Monday at the Sylvania Country Club.

The Polar Bears (22-10 overall) finished with a 352 on the par-72, 5804-yard course.

Denison won the team title with a 328, Northwestern Ohio was third with 369 and Lourdes was fourth with a 372.

Junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) was fifth out of 46 golfers with an 11-over par 83.

St. Paul's United Church of Christ holds its annual bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Items available include:

  • handmade candy, cookies, caramel corn and pies
  • homemade soups,
  • fall and Christmas items for decorating,
  • children's gifts and games,
  • and handmade blankets, needlework and OSU memorabilia.

Picnic food will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. onwards, including sandwiches, sides, chips and dessert.
