4-H Camp Ohio, the 4-H camp serving youth from Ada and Hardin County 4-H, is raising money for a restroom renovation campaign.
The current restroom facility, which was constructed over 50 years ago, has limited privacy and is not compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA.)
Approximately 8,000 youth and adults camp annually at 4-H Camp Ohio. These user groups are primarily from 4-H and school groups. In addition, 4-H Camp Ohio provides a retreat and workshop setting for civic organizations, businesses, scout groups, family reunions and others.
Ohio Northern sophomore Seth Gundlach (Wilmington) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 7-13.
Gundlach scored twice and added an assist as the Polar Bears (11-2-1 overall, 3-0-0 OAC) defeated Muskingum 8-0 on Saturday evening.
This marks the second time this season that an Ohio Northern player was named OAC Player of the Week, as sophomore Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) was named Offensive Player of the week on Sept. 30 and sophomore John Lombardo (Solon) was named Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16.
Gundlach has six goals, one assist and 13 points this season.
The annual trick or treat event at Ohio Northern University will begin with registration at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the McIntosh Center Activities Room. ONU students will then lead the youngsters through residence halls. The event will also include dinner at 6 p.m. in the McIntosh Center ballroom and a costume contest and at 6:30 p.m. before wrapping up at approximately 7 p.m.
The event, which is open to area children, is free and open to the public. Children of all ages are encouraged to dress up and join the fun. All children must be accompanied by an adult to attend the festivities. The outing is presented by ONU’s Office of Residence Life and Dining Services.

One of the Ada community’s oldest continuing traditions, Town and Gown banquet, takes place Monday, Nov. 4, in McIntosh Center on the Ohio Northern University campus.
The event, open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce and ONU. The Town and Gown Association was organized in 1957 to promote harmony and goodwill between the townspeople and the university.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and a dinner and program follow in the McIntosh Ballroom at 6 p.m.
