Council is expected to enter executive session to discuss negotiations with the sergeants bargaining unit.

A second issue includes a letter to council from Andrea Hall, 622 Clint Drive, concerning the intersection of Main Street and Lima Avenue.

The letter states that it is a busy intersection from all four directions and the writer expresses a concern that trees block the view, making it a dangerous intersection.

This is the second time Mrs. Hall brought this matter before council, the first begin in 2017.

Her letter and responses from Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the village to her 2017 requests are in the council packet.

Council received a request from Jennifer Wince, a 2021 Senior Bonus Mom, to post banners of 56 graduating Ada seniors on 14 light poles like last year. Senior parents will order and purchase banners.

March 2 meeting
In the March 2 council meeting it was reported that income tax revenue in the village is down, which is a result of covid-19’s effects on the economy of the village in 2020.

Also at the meeting, Jami Hall, village administrator, reported several steps underway with the public works department for spring. One includes installation of flower baskets on Main Street.

A second issue includes follow up work remaining on Lincoln Avenue Phase III. Hall also informed council that Michael Gibbs, wastewater treatment plant operator, has resigned and the job is currently posted.

Jerry Simmons inquired about reopening the Depot for rentals. The village solicitor said she is  expecting clarification from the governor’s office soon regarding the relaxation of regulations for gatherings and will report back to council.
