The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes 4-H Club held a meeting Monday, May 22nd, at the Hardin Northern Ag Building.
Recreation was Capture the Flag, led by Heidi Trachsel. There was 39 members, 9 advisers, and 4 guests present.
Megan Miller gave a Treasurer's Report, Emma Miller talked over the minutes of the previous meeting, and Cassie Deckling led role call. Dienna Clem went over some Community Service ideas for the club. Cassie Deckling went over livestock deadlines, and Bob McBride talked about more demonstrations. Livestock exhibitors went over Quality Assurance.
Bluffton Family Recreation will hold a women’s tennis tournament on Saturday, June 17.
The tournament takes place in Bluffton at the Howe Tennis Courts on East College Avenue, across from Harmon Field.
The tournament has the following divisions:
High School - doubles division: Championship and B (pro set)
High School - singles division: A and B
Adult – doubles division: Championship (pro set)
Entry fee is $25 for first entry and $15 for second. Entry deadline is Monday, June 12.

Visitors to the Ada railroad depot park can't help but notice the purple irises now in full bloom. The flower garden offers a continual parade of blooming flowers.
The Ada Kiwanis Club awarded seven scholarships to Ada High School graduating seniors at the 36th annual senior honor awards dinner held at the school.
The total amount presented was $3,950.00.
Ada Kiwanis Club President Tom Kier made the presentations to the following graduating seniors: Meredith Marshall, Elizabeth Milks, Kaitlyn Long, Makayla Callahan, Shaheed Hasan Khan, Kyli Lause and Madeline Skiver.
Kier noted that the club has been privileged to present club scholarships for many years and that this year marks the first year that the club has presented seven scholarships.
