Offering conditional offer of employment to Jared Arnold as PT police officer

Last night Ada council approved a 2021 wage scale covering its employees.

The scales covers five salaried and nine hourly employees and is effective with the first full pay period beginning Jan. 3, 2021. It includes an pay increase of 1.5 percent.

Council also agreed to offer Jared Arnold a conditional offer of employment as a part-time police officer for the Village of Ada.  

Vancrest of Ada is now holding is second raffle basket. The raffle second raffle basket including a large soft blanket, necklace and earrings set from Paparazzi Jewelry, a vanilla candle, a size large Bella Canvas t-shirt reading “All the plaid and pumpkin things,” and a large bottle of Barefoot Peach Wine.

Nothing is stopping the Ada elementary book fair from taking place. The book fair is online this month. The books will be delivered to the school and then distributed. The link will be open until Sunday, Nov. 29. Teachers have created wish lists for their classrooms as well. Click here to visit the book fair link.

As crazy as it sounds during either the 1952 or 1956 presidential election you could purchase a cigarette pack promoting your favorite candidate. This is just one example of presidential campaigning items on display at the Ada Public Library. The collection was put together by students in an ONU Public History class taught by David Strittmatter. Check out additonal photos here.

Congregation says: "Come get some free clothing"

Ada Church of Christ, 316 S. Main St., will hold a clothing give-away from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 21.

The congregation invites persons from from Ada, Alger, Dunkirk, Dola and McGuffy  to "come and get some free clothing."

The event will have clothing from infant all the way up to adults. For additional information call 419-233-4476.
