The Ada Music Boosters are kicking off their annual detergent fundraiser to support Ada’s vocal, instrumental, and winter guard programs.  

The 5 gallon buckets of detergent, fabric softener, and dish soap come with a dispensing pump and contain 640 oz. 

Pod-packs of detergent (180 count)) and dishwasher soap (200 count) are also available.  

All products cost $45. Product can be purchased from any 7-12 grade vocal or instrumental music student from until March 14.

Work by ONU art and design professors is now on display in the lobby of Elzay Gallery. The professors are not only teachers, but practicing artists as well, having shown work regionally, nationally, and internationally. Their work shows a wide variety of media and artistic disciplines.
Faculty represented in the show include:

BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton ended the first half on a 19-3 run and cruised to a 60-30 win over local rival Ada in the Northwest Conference boys basketball season finale Friday night.  

 

The purple and gold finish the regular season 4-18 overall and 2-6 in the NWC with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Pirates improved to 10-12 and 4-4 in league play after the victory.  

 

"We did not come ready to play," said Ada second-year head coach Dre White.

While we understand that the issue of guns is prevalent in the minds of students, this type of action poses some problems for the district.

Supt. Meri Skilliter wrote on Ada Schools Facebook that walk-outs will not be sanctioned at Ada Schools. Her response to the political issue follows:

Dear Ada Parents and Students:

We have been made aware that a national movement is in the works that is encouraging high school students to stage walk-outs in support of gun control.  While we understand that the issue of guns is prevalent in the minds of students, this type of action poses some problems for the district.

Hear strange sounds, see shadows, do objects move, are orbs flying about in your home, cellar, barn, or business?

Harold St. John and Becky McClendathen of the Toledo Ghost Hunters Society spoke to about 15 people at the Ada Public Library on Saturday afternoon. Most people in attendance believed in ghosts and the paranormal, according to a raise of hands.
