The Ohio Northern women's basketball team fell five spots to No. 15 in the ninth weekly edition of the D3Hoops.com poll.
Northern (17-2 overall, 11-1 OAC) posted a 1-1 record in the conference last week after defeating Wilmington at the ONU Sports Center 71-48 and falling on the road at Capital 84-76.
Sophomore Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fossil Ridge) earned his third career OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week honor for his efforts during the week of Jan. 23-29.
The sophomore earned the honor for the second time this season after leading Northern during the week in the pool.
In ONU's tri-meet at No. 3-ranked Kenyon with Ohio Wesleyan and the Lords, Huey was third in the 200 free in 1:45.76 and the 100 back in :53.50.
Apollo Career Center will kick off Career Tech Education Month with the annual All Area Boards meeting held Thursday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. in the Apollo Commons.
This year, the Apollo Career Center is renaming and dedicating the large meeting room to the first Apollo superintendent Fred D. Goare. The room will now be called the Fred D. Goare Community Room. Members of the Goare family will be in attendance for the dedication.
Beyond MedSpa, 2113 Tiffin Ave Suite A, Findlay, will be hosting a Birthday Bash, in recognition of their one year anniversary on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from noon to 8 p.m.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. with the Findlay Hancock County Chamber as part of the one year celebration.
Beyond MedSpa will offer retail specials and just for stopping by individuals will be entered to win a $100 gift certificate. By making a retail or service purchase, individuals will be entered into the drawing two additional times.

Did you hear that noise? Did you feel the earth shake a little beneath your feet?
By golly, it’s a polar bear! Of course, there would be a polar bear in Ada this year with the extremely low temperatures the past couple of months.
What’s he doing here? Seems like our furry friend headed south from the Arctic tundra to find his buddy Klondike. He heard Klondike was in Ada, having the distinction of being the ONU mascot since 1923; didn’t get his name Klondike until 2006, however.
