Summary of June 6 Ada Council Meeting
By Paula Scott
The Ada Council, with members Sean Beck and Sheila Coressel absent, had a quorum and proceeded with village business including payment of bills, staffing for the municipal pool and a motion needed to submit the Neighborhood Improvement grant application.
Mayor Dave Retterer conducted the meeting with Michele Brunk calling the roll; councilors present were Jason Campbell, Linda Mason, Jeff Oestreich and Bob Simmons.
The meeting packet is HERE and includes claims registers, minutes from the prior meeting and supporting documents for the following discussion. All items were approved with unanimous consent. The handful of observers including the Icon and Kenton Times did not address council.

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATION REPORT
Village Administrator Jamie Hall presented the final CDBG grant application cost estimates and the village share. Noting that he had confirmation of funds available ($254K) from Patty Navin and Michelle Brunk, Mayor Retterer signed the document after a motion regarding his authorization was approved by council.
Hall issued a reminder for the June 13 Public Meeting on Buckeye Ave.-Main St. safety improvements including proposals for one way traffic and angle parking.
Noting that it has been a while since the Village has had a professional assessment of wells and aquifer, Hall said that he is exploring well rehabilitation.
On the Grandville street project, Hall reported that the 8” water main and hydrants are installed; south side residences are tied in; north side will be tied in next.
As a result of a sidewalk cutting demo, showing how segment disparities of up to 2” can be leveled, he plans to select an area to have this work done. Some $5K will be spent for this project.
At 7:33 p.m. council entered an executive session and adjourned the meeting at 8:18 p.m. prior to holding a Streets Committee meeting on sidewalk policies.
