The Ada Icon reports on a lot of public meetings in Ada but that still only accounts for a small fraction of the public meetings on our Community Calendar. In recent months I've begun reviewing minutes for meetings we don't sent a reporter to, including the library.

The Ada Public Library posts the minutes of the Board of Trustees on its website at https://www.adalibrary.org/about/board/minutes/

ADA__The Ada High School girls soccer team rallied late to tie visiting Columbus Grove 1-1 in their annual Bulldog battle on Saturday morning, September 13 at War Memorial Stadium.

Ada is now 9-1-2 after recording their second straight 1-1 tie at home.

Defending Northwest Conference champion CG ran its record to 5-1-2 with the result.

“Emily Gibson had a rock star performance in goal, making some great saves,” said Ada head coach Doug Dewese. “She was very busy as it was the first time we were out-shot by another team.

ADA__The Ada High School boys soccer team convincingly defeated visiting Old Fort 5-0 in a non-league match at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, September 13.

Ada junior Andrew Allen tallied four goals for the second consecutive match to pace the victorious offense.

The win boosted the Bulldog season record to 6-2-1.

The Stockaders fell to 2-5-1 after the shutout defeat.

“We controlled the midfield from the start, which allowed us to dictate the game and create plenty of opportunities,” said second-year Ada head coach Aaron Acheson.
