UPDATED Ada Police arrest suspect, seek to return stolen items
SEPT 8 FACEBOOK__On the morning of September 8, 2025, an officer from the Ada Police Department responded to a suspicious person call. A resident had observed a male attempting to enter their vehicles as well as looking into the windows on their home approximately one hour prior.
The officer reviewed the homeowner's surveillance footage and was able to identify the male from previous interactions.
Approximately an hour after receiving the call, the officer located the male, 34-year-old Eric Spence of Ada, near the 400 Block of Willeke Avenue. Eric was found to be in possession of numerous stolen items and placed into custody.
Additional charges are pending, and the investigation continues. The public is asked to call the Ada Police Department if you believe you are a victim of this crime so your property can be returned.

Request For Public Assistance
In the early morning hours of September 8, 2025, the Ada Police Department responded to a call for service within the Village regarding a suspicious male attempting to enter residences and vehicles. The Ada Police Department was able to locate and apprehend the male.
During the apprehension, several items were located that we believe were stolen prior to the arrest. If you believe you had property stolen in the Village recently, please contact Detective Eichman at (419) 558-3360 with a description of your item.
This investigation is still ongoing.
The Ada Police Department was assisted by the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and Minich Towing on scene.
As a reminder, please remember to secure your residence and vehicles and report any suspicious behavior to the Ada Police Department.
