Several Ada bikers have participated in previous rides

The Bluffton Lions Foundation will host the 6th annual Ride to Remember in a virtual format this summer.

The public ride that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 11, will now be a ride that riders will complete on their own anytime from now until the end of July.

Maps with routes will be provided, but riders may also complete routes in their own communities, or through spinning indoors. The registration fee for the virtual ride will be a donation to the Bluffton Pathways Project, which will be collected during the online registration process.

Ada loves parades, and one next week will be very special.

Vancrest of Ada has a special plan to celebrate National Nursing Home Week next week.

It’s arranging for a drive-through parade on Wednesday, May 13. Here’s how it will work:

• Line up at the Ada school front parking lot from 4 to 4:15 p.m.

• Parade starts through Vancrest of Ada grounds at 4:30 p.m.

Open to the public, participants are invited to decorate their vehicles, honk their horns, make signs, play music, wave and smile.

Vancrest officials ask that participants remain in your cars during the parade. A rain date of Thursday, May 14, is planned on the same time schedule.

DJLimaOhio.com.com has teamed up with Ohio Theatre and Woof Boom Lima radio stations to help take the sting out of the school year shut down for area high school juniors and seniors.

“A Night to Remember,” a virtual online prom for West Central Ohio, is Saturday, May 9, from 8-11 p.m.

Fun 107.1 and DJLimaOhio.com’s Phil Austin hosts the event from the Ohio Theatre with DJ SNKRZ on the turntables.

There’s just one catch: they’ll be the only ones there.

There will be a live video stream, and the event will be held just like any other prom, with lights, fog and lasers.

The next West Ohio Food Bank food distribution is from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 7, at the Hardin County Fairgrounds, 14134 Letson Ave., Kenton. The distribution is sponsored by the food bank and United Way of Hardin County.
