Girls between 4th and 8th grade are invited to OSU Extension: Hardin’s Girl’s Group summer activities.
Girl’s Group brings together public school and homeschooled girls to work on strengthening friendships and developing overall confidence, positive self-image and self-esteem, and leadership skills through a variety of hands-on education and activities.
The group meets on selected Fridays at the Spark Lab in the Hardin County Extension Office unless noted in the schedule. The first meeting is Friday, May 31, in Lima for a fun night from 4-10 p.m.
Crimson Lane, 4600 County Road 1, Ada will host a craft beer and wine night from 6 to 10 p.m., Thursday, May 23, according to Jodi Willeke.
The evening features craft beers from Fat Heads, Moeller and Rhinegeist.
The event includes live music from Shifferly Road Band of Bluffton and a slow smokin’ barbecue food truck.
Crimson Lane opened this past winter. It hosts events such as weddings, anniversaries, reunions, and business conferences and meetings. It is located 3 miles north of Ada on the Hardin-Hancock County Line Road and 2.5 miles east of State Route 235.
The Ada High School Band will conclude the 2018-19 school year with a concert Monday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.
The spring concert will include recognition of the band and color guard students, with awards presentations for involvement in the instrumental music program.
Awards presented will include the nationally recognized John Phillips Sousa Award and the Orion Award for Band, as well as letter winners and additional awards. Jonathan Lischak is the instrumental music director.
The popular Ada High School Spring Fever Follies will be held Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. This year’s Follies, titled "Kings and Queens," features music from the past to the present day by the legends of music.
Musical styles range from pop and rock to musical theatre with students performing solos and large ensemble numbers.
Graduating senior choir members will be recognized during the program. For the fifth year Ada Junior Varsity Singers will be a part of the Spring Fever Follies.
