Alger Public Library is hosting an Alien Brain Autopsy Activity on this Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m. This alien autopsy activity is perfect for that future brain surgeon or little tyke who likes all scientific experiments. For this event, the kids are the medical examiners. (Spoiler: it's a gelatin mold in the shape of a brain.)
This event is free and open to the public.

Carnival games and buy-one-get-one specials highlight the event held downtown Bluffton, with 100 percent of sales being donated Lima Symphony Storetime program.
The Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers along with the assistance of the Men’s Garden Club are sponsoring “An Evening Garden Affair” on Monday, June 24, at the Friendship Gardens of Hardin County, 960 W. Kohler St., Kenton.
The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature Sarah Noggle of OSU Extension-Paulding County with a program about how to grow vegetables with limited space.
Ada Rotary Club hosts a barbecue chicken dinner on Thursday.
Pick-up is at Hays Insurance, corner of Main and Lincoln, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the dinners are $8 each. The dinners include a half chicken and two side dishes.
The project supports Ada Rotary scholarship and service projects. Rebecca, an Ada HS graduate and Rotary Outbound Exchange student to Belgium in the 2019-20 school will offer drinks and desserts at the pick-up.

Mister Pickles travelling show comes to the Alger Public Library at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 18. He brings his own brand of music, magic, and laughter for a family friendly event.

By any measure, Vancrest has been successful in its first three years in Ada. The company will celebrate its third anniversary with a carnival, open to the public, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
There will be a dunk tank, face painting, a roving clown, a DJ, bouncy house, games, prizes, candy, popcorn, cotton candy, and a free lunch featuring hamburgers or hotdogs.
