Beautiful Creatures (PG-13) will be screening starting Friday, March 1 through Thursday, March 7 at the Ada Theatre.

A supernatural love story set in the South, "Beautiful Creatures" tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town. (c) WB

Ada Bingo plays on Thursdays at the Alumni N-men’s Building in downtown Ada.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; Bingo begins at 6:55 p.m..

Ada Bingo uses new, radio-controlled electronic machines, as well as, traditional paper packages.

Proceeds from Ada Bingo benefits the Ada Lion's Club and Ada Music
Boosters.

Like chili soup? Then, you'll love Richland Manor's Thursday, Feb. 21, chili cookoff. The event, hosted by Richland Manor, 7400 Swaney Road, Bluffton, startts at 6:30 p.m.

According to Sarah Foster, administrator, admission is free and there is a voluntary donation to assist the Cairo Food Bank.

A board of judges will choose the winning chili recipie and will award three top prizes:

First place - $100 Visa gift card
Second place - $75 Visa gift card
Third place - $50 Visa gift card

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will present “Driving Miss Daisy,” a drama by Alfred Uhry, performed by the Van Wert Civic Theatre, at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at The Centre, Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.

Tickets are $10 each and are available in Bluffton at Greg’s Pharmacy, Village Cut ‘n’ Curl and the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. Tickets may also be ordered by contacting the Bluffton chamber at [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the performance.

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, will be the keynote speaker for the annual Hardin County Democratic Party Presidents’ Day Luncheon Saturday, February 23, 2013 at noon at the Kenton Moose Family Center, 801 West Lima Street, Kenton, Ohio.

In 2010 FitzGerald became the first elected County Executive of Cuyahoga County, the largest County in Ohio and the 29th largest county by population in the United States.  FitzGerald is actively considering a run for Ohio Governor in 2014.

Ed was raised in a large Irish-Catholic family, the seventh of eight brothers and sisters.  He worked his way through college, graduating from The Ohio State University in 1990. 

Two movies will be screened this week at the Ada Theatre, according to James Curtis, manager.

A Haunted House will show daily at 7 p.m. until Feb. 13.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters will show daily at 9 p.m. until Feb. 13.

Both movies are Rated R.
