Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters will the showing at the Ada Theatre starting Thursday Jan. 24 and running thru Thursday, Feb. 7, according to James Curlis of the Theatre.  

In this spin on the fairy tale, Hansel & Gretel are now bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world. As the fabled Blood Moon approaches, the siblings encounter a new form of evil that might hold a secret to their past. (IMDb)

Reservations are now being accepted for two special February events at The Inn at ONU. The first is a Valentine's Day food and wine pairing event planned at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14. The second is a Friday, Feb. 22, dinner mystery theater at 7 p.m.

There is no better way to spend Valentine's Day than at a special food and wine pairing event. Several courses of food will be expertly paired with fine wines.

Morgen Stiegler and Chris Buzzelli, jazz duo, will perform during the evening. 

Ann Stratton will offer antique appraisals during a community antique show from 1 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Richland Manor, Swaney Road, Bluffton.

Food and beverages will be served and the event is open to the public.

Scott Trostel, nationally noted railroad historian, will present at program on the Lima Locomotive Works at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Allen County Museum, Lima. The presentation takes place at the museum at 620 W. Market St., Lima.

His presentation will follow the Allen County Historical Society’s 105th annual membership meeting, according to Dick Boehr of Bluffton, who is a board member of the museum.

Ada High School will hold two meeting of interest to students looking towards pursuing additional education, both during and beyond high school.  Both meetings will be held in the cafeteria.

Post Secondary Enrollment Options/Credit Flexibility Meeting

Students and parents are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the Post Secondary Enrollment Options program mandated by Senate Bill 140. 

The Hardin County Historical Museum will hold the first ever Kenton Toys Collectors Cast Iron Toy Show February 16, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the Hardin County Historical Museum, 223 N. Main St., Kenton, according to Linda L. Iams, Director.

Featured will be the Museum’s collection of Kenton Toys.  You can buy, sell, or trade, or just browse the tables.  Kenton Toy Collector club members will be on site to appraise toys.  

Free Admission.  A limited number of vendor tables are available  at $25.00 (one table per vendor, only).
