ARLINGTON - Visiting Ada fell far behind non-conference rival Arlington early yet rallied, only to come up short in a 47-38 boys basketball makeup battle Tuesday night.  

The purple and gold fell to 3-14 with the loss, while the Red Devils improved    to 13-4 with their fifth straight win.    

The Bulldogs trailed 21-9 after the first period and 32-16 at halftime. Ada came back after intermission and limited Arlington to just 15 second half points while scoring 22 themselves. But it was not enough to surpass the big halftime deficit.

Bluffton University has announced the dean’s list for the undergraduate students for the fall 2018 term. Students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher are eligible for the dean’s list. Area students on the dean's list include:

Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours
received dean’s list with distinction for continued high achievement. Area students on the list include:

Last week was freezing. This week clouds decended on Ada. Our cloudy day resulted in thick clouds of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at the earth's surface, which obscures visibility. These photos are from a State Route 235 rural area north of Ada.

Area affected 900 S. Main to 1012 S. Main, Ada

The Ada Water System has experienced a water line break which loss of pressure in a water main affecting 900 S. Main St., to 1012 S. Main St.

As a precautionary measure the village asks customers to boil water before using for consumption.

The message from the village follows:

"We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this problem. This warning is in effect for the following residents Residents of 900 S Main - 1012 S Main.

Special service and open house Feb. 24

Grace Gospel Church, 321 N. Gilbert St., Ada, will celebrate the completion of its new fellowship hall later this month, according to Trent Boedicker, pastor.

The celebration is Sunday, Feb. 24. A special worship service is at 10:30 a.m. Following the service will be an open house with a tour of the new facility.
